Modern women are not generally bothered about fitting their identity within the idea of 'femininity', perhaps because feminists never really sought to revise femininity, preferring to dispose of the fluffy, passive consept altogheter. Femininity is not a core value for women today. Instead, being 'feminine' is just one of the performances that women can choose to employ in everyday life - perhaps for pleasure, or to achieve a particular goal.
